Ted Hansen

Ted Hansen, CPA – Ted grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a state champion runner. This allowed him to become a collegiate runner for University of Wisconsin and then Southern Utah University. Ted earned his Master of Accounting degree. He began his professional career with Arthur Andersen Las Vegas. At Andersen he worked on true small and middle market clients.  Individuals, trusts, partnerships, S-corporations as well as larger publicly traded companies. In that time period Las Vegas was still a small town with a lot of diversity.

In 2002 he began his Denver area market experience with Hein and Associates and then with Grant Thornton. In March of 2014 he decided to journey back into the Big Four accounting arena by joining KPMG. While at KPMG he went directly into an international tax practice, with the agreement that he could work on domestic clients if there was time in his schedule.  Any given year was 60/40 or 70/30 international or federal work depending upon the clients’ transactions. During this time he also did a six-month rotation in Germany working for the US Help Desk. In, December of 2010 he changed letterhead and joined EY. Here he spent two years working on the third largest corporate transaction in the history of the world, when Vodafone sold their 45% stake in Verizon for US$130 Billion.  After the completion of this transaction Ted then moved back into a practice where he started, mid-market Denver based businesses. With a focus on real estate and energy, Ted focused on Denver based companies that were private equity backed, often working with the historic ownership group. Working with smaller businesses, focused on locally owned and managed real estate businesses, the transition to the merger with Mann & Company was inevitable.

Ted is a resident of Westminster, Colorado. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife Sharon and sons, Noah and Oliver. He has been a long-time soccer coach for Broomfield Soccer Club and his children also attend school in Broomfield. Ted also enjoys skiing, running and craft brews.

Sharon Hansen

Sharon Hansen - Sharon grew up in Pueblo, Colorado.  She attended the University of Nevada - Las Vegas where she received her degree in Accounting. She worked for Arthur Andersen in Las Vegas and Denver. She then switched her client focus to work for Newmont Mining Corporation. After Newmont, she worked as a project accountant for a real estate firm that was converting apartments into condominiums. Then she found a long career specializing in tax reporting for high net-worth individuals.

Sharon is a resident of Westminster, Colorado. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband Ted and sons, Noah and Oliver.
